Coating is the continuous and highly automated process for
coating coiled sheet metal before fabrication.
Coil Coating was originally developed in the 1930's as a
process for Venetian Blinds.
Today, approximately 5 million tons of aluminum and steel
are coated annually.

industry users of pre-coated coil are:
Building products, which historically have been the largest industry
users of aluminum.
Transportation currently ranks number two in aluminum coated markets.
The fastest growing channel for pre-coated coil is through distributors
or metal service centers selling to a variety of end-use applications. |
